Training Programs at the Ackerman Academy

The Academy is dedicated to the highest standards of training in dermatopathology and offers a wide array of academic opportunties to practicing physicians, medical students and residents, students and physicians from abroad, and even high school students.

Currently, we offer the following:

• ACGME-accredited fellowship in dermatopathology. Applications are open to those who are U.S. board-eligible or board-certified in dermatology or pathology (at time of fellowship).
  
  
• Elective training in dermatopathology to medical students, residents, and practicing physicians, open to both U.S. and international trainees. (Duration: Less than three (3) months).
  
  
• Visiting research fellowship in dermatopathology (not for board-certification) to U.S. physicians, as well as physicians from abroad. (Typical duration is one (1) year, but must be greater than three (3) months).
  
  
• Less conventional, or informal training to those who may not be a direct fit for the aforementioned educational programs. Please inquire by sending an email to education@ackermanacademy.org.
